I needed a few last minute stocking fillers... so I made these.
They are called an Ouch Pouch and are filled with the necessities... bandaids, hand sanitizer, safety pin, chap stick...etc...
Thanks Narelle for all the encouragement throughout the entire year. For without this "club" I wouldn't get as much sewn.
I hope we will be doing it again in 2018...
Until then... Merry Christmas & a safe New Year.
Christmas Wishes to everyelf from this very tardy chief elf. Big thank you to those who have continued to post and visit our little workshop ... what can I say but something had to take a backseat and sadly it has been my crafting. I did manage to complete my November block for A Holly Cottage Christmas.
If you managed 1 item a month (or more), or just 1 this year then you made a head start for a less stressed Christmas. Now take the time to enjoy wrapping your gifts or displaying your beautiful decorations.
As its only early in December, there's still time to whip up something special. Joy @ Days Filled With Joy is sharing her "12 Days of Last Minute Christmas Gifts". Pop over and check out the tutorials for some quick and cute ideas. Thanks Joy
Please continue to share any makes for December and may your Christmas be filled with love and peace xx
This month, I made another zipper pouch using the YouTube tutorial by the Missouri Star Quilt Company. This is the front side.
And this is the back. I just love this snowman print. I wish I could remember the name of the fabric. It sparkles with glitter. It's hard to believe Christmas is a little less than 4 months away. Wishing you all very productive workshop time in September. -Renee
This zipper pouch will be added to my gift box this month. It was created with a crazy quilt block I made in 2013 and finally finished off. It features a cross-stitched house that was part of the "Cozy Winter Twilight" pattern in the Stoney Creek Country Living Collection booklet and some of my 1st attempts at tutorials in Diana Lampe's book Embroidery for all Seasons.
I am afraid I only added 1 seam to the stocking I am working on for my son this month. I hope to finish the embellishments in August. Thank you so much for providing the Workshop for us, Narelle. The motivation it provides - especially with Christmas sneaking up so quickly - is appreciated. -Renee
